DevOps Engineer - Cloud Software Solutions for Contact Centers

To complement our rapid growth, we are actively looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to join our Technical Operations team.  This position is located at our headquarters in San Ramon, CA. Key Responsibilities: 

  • Build, manage and support global DEV & QA environments, including troubleshooting of incidents
  • Build the tools and systems that help Five9’s DEV, QA and Operations teams to deliver high-quality software in a very fast paced environment
  • Learn new technologies and design/implement new solutions to automate infrastructure buildout, deployments and monitoring
  • Proactively investigate new opportunities for automation
  • Create/maintain documentation of application environments (diagrams, procedures, etc.)
Key Requirements:

  • 4+ years of Linux/Unix System Administration experience preferably RHEL/CentOS
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Python/Ruby scripting required
  • Experience with Git, Jenkins and/or other CI/CD tool sets and frameworks
  • Strong experience with MySQL administration
  • Strong experience troubleshooting applications, systems and networking
  • Configuration management automation tool (preferably Puppet) experience desired
  • Experience with virtualization solutions such as VMWare
  • Experience with OpenStack and/or containers is a plus
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
  • Great understanding of cloud, web & enterprise technologies
  • Capable of independently managing complex projects and preparing detailed build/test plans to implement new technologies/configurations
  • Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written
  • B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent experience
