Description: The Maps Styles and Tools Engineering Team is responsible for developing engineering solutions capable of translating cartographic design concepts into styles to deliver unforgettable experiences to our customers. This entails working in conjunction with the latest rendering technologies to enable the many design intricacies set forth by the design and rendering teams among others.
As a close collaborator of the Cartographic Design Team, the team strives to provide leading edge prototyping tools that can assist the cartographers in designing new engaging experiences and visualize and test their innovative designs.
The global Maps asset distribution platform is responsible for delivering all required assets to all supported devices in properly sized bundles. The team continues to streamline the delivery system and excels in developing technologies to further optimize for performance, size, and timeliness. As a vital component of the Maps ecosystem, it is imperative to continue enhancing and developing the global Maps asset distribution platform.
Additionally, the team prides itself in being extremely performance conscious and able to develop and implement cutting edge features that take advantage of the latest styling, layout, and rendering techniques.
As the leader of this high performing team, you will leverage your perfect blend of soft skills and technological prowess to provide technical and professional guidance. You will help your team members reach their full potential and align their individual skills with the business needs.

Education: BS degree in computer science or MS in equivalent field
